ABOUT ME
An Experienced Dancer, Competitor, and Instructor
I’ve been offering comprehensive group and private lessons in Southern California since 1992. Teaching is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students. From day one, they learn important foundational techniques to help them boost their skills and self-esteem. Each one has a unique learning style, and it’s my duty to find out what that is and adapt my lessons accordingly.
Professionally, I have performed and toured all over the world. I have held full scholarships with the Joffrey Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and New York City Ballet (SAB). In addition, I am a Los Angeles Spotlight Award winner, Jackson Mississippi International Ballet Competitor, titleholder as 4th Runner-up at Miss Dance of America, and 2nd Runner-up at Miss California. I also possess commercial dance experience (I am formerly represented by the Bobby Ball agency), have toured internationally with Disney as a “face character”, and have spent 2 seasons as an NFL Cheerleader with the Los Angeles Rams. I attribute most of my dance success to the incredible ballet training that I received, and have helped hundreds of students strengthen their ballet technique and launch professional careers in not just ballet, but many other styles as well.

COMPETITION COACHING AND CHOREOGRAPHY
The A-Zs of Competing
I know how difficult it can be to find a reliable competition coach that focuses on the big picture. A competition coach should be able to tailor a competition piece perfectly to your student's strengths, while simultaneously guiding, motivating, uplifting and preparing each competitor well in advance. As an experienced and passionate competition coach and former competitor, I believe in an approach that gives students a positive competition experience. I design my sessions according to my students’ needs and strengths, with an emphasis on character and confidence-boosting, while bringing out the very best in each individual.

COMPETITION ROUTINE CLEAN-UP AND REHEARSAL RUN THROUGHS
For Non-ballet Competitors
Many contemporary dance teams, pageant competitors, cheer squads, musical theater groups and hip hop teams have used me to assess their finished pieces to add fine tuning, technical corrections, staging and spacing, and artistry recommendations. As a "fresh set of eyes", I provide video assessments and playback, with notes, corrections, spacing recommendation, technical feedback, and artistic pointers. Many teams and individual competitors have seen these small differences make a major difference in their overall scores at competition.

"Jenn was great at giving me the technical fundamentals that started my trajectory toward my professional dance career. Her caring and encouraging personality gave me the confidence to pursue what seemed impossible, and her technical teaching style gave me the strength to conquer so many styles of dance!"
Liz Jorgensen- Professional Dancer
"I danced alongside Jenn for several seasons, professionally. I am always amazed at how strong, versatile, and technical she is. She has dominated the stage in principal ballet roles, yet managed to work commercially and as an NFL cheerleader! She never ceases to amaze me! It's rare to find someone who can toggle so well between disciplines."
